Home School and Picnics

We had Mom2Mom on Tuesday, and Violet and Liana had a great time in their class, and running around afterwards while we cleaned up.

These two little ones are such good friends! Violet is often asking to have Liana over for a playdate, or to go to Liana's house.
On Friday afternoon, Violet and Cora set up the home school again. They spent a couple of hours doing this, and they both loved it.

Here, Cora is leading Violet in their class butterfly song. Violet also has free play, recess, snack time and reading/writing practice.
Cora made flash cards of some simple sight words, and Violet was sounding them out on her own. Exciting stuff! She's been very interested in letters and sounds lately.

The schooling continued Saturday, while Stace worked on installing crown molding in our bedroom. Cora was very helpful, handing him the drill or hammer when he needed it, while I held up one end and Stace attached the molding to the wall.
Saturday evening, we went to the Mom2Mom fall family picnic. We had a good turnout, and a nice time was had by all.

Thanks to my friend Sara for these photos, and Sara's daughter Megan, for the one of Cora.
