This year, we helped Jarod out one weekend with some little things, and then Stace agree to the assignment of making a piano. Well, a fake piano that would look real from the audience, that Roxie could lie across as she sang her opening song...
Cora helped out, of course, and was instrumental at school in making lots of set pieces. She is such a hard worker, giving up her lunches and brunches to work in the theater shop.
Almost done! It went to school like this, and the kids at school painted it black.
Meanwhile, my press release was published Friday - you can read it here. And Cora's promo shot was posted on the theatre's Instagram page.
In other news, I went out to lunch Thursday with Liz and Tiffany at the local college's culinary arts center. They periodically offer a quite-fancy lunch for an affordable price, prepared by trainee chefs. It was delicious! I was so stuffed, I didn't need dinner.

Also this week, we ate out at Mendocino Farms for a fundraiser for the high school's parent group I'm a part of, and Cora had a successful interview for a summer job as a pool monitor.
On Thursday afternoon, with Cora in later rehearsals all week, Stace, Vi and I took a walk at Whitney Canyon.
And on Friday morning, Vi and I went back to Wildwood Canyon. On a pretty morning like Friday, it's a gorgeous view from the top. Violet also had a retainer check at the orthodontist, which was quick and painless, and she later met up with Lea and Sophia at Teacision for an end-of-week treat.
