So, whether any of us are ready or not, Violet is entering the prime part of teenagehood.
On Saturday, she met up with her school friends, Lea (middle) and Sophia. They got breakfast and drinks at Loaf, Violet's favorite place.
We then walked across the street to the weekly Farmer's Market in the library parking lot. We later returned to the Loaf area, and the girls just had fun for another hour or so.In the afternoon, we made a family trip to Vasquez Rocks, at Vi's request.
In this photo, Cora is a little further away, and Violet is on the right side.

Cora didn't really want to go, which is so sad to me because she used to consider Vasquez Rocks one of her happy places. But I think she had fun once she got out there.
It was a gorgeous afternoon.
We picked up Thai food on our way home and ate with Grandma and Grandpa at our house. Then, they took Violet out to paint at Color Me Mine. She made a plate, and Grandma painted a little bowl.

Meanwhile, Stace, Cora and I went to see the final performance of Clue at her old high school.
Happy Birthday, Violet! You make our world a better place. Keep shining your light!
