Week in Review

This week, Cora's junior high held its book fair, and since I'm friends with the school librarian, I volunteered to help out. It was great being on her campus, since there are few opportunities to help out at this stage.

Cora came into the book fair during her lunch, and we bought her a Warriors book she doesn't own. (There aren't many of those! She owns so many.)

She even let me hang out with her and her girlfriends for the last few minutes of lunch. I'm a lucky mama.
Stace got free Dodger tickets from work again, and my lovely sister volunteered to babysit so we could go with my Mom and Dad.

A late summer's evening at Dodger Stadium - beautiful!
I had to poke fun at my mom's snack choice - peanut butter crackers with a side of jalapenos.
Go Dodgers!

They were shut down for most of the game...
...but came to life late in the game with home runs to win it! It was a late night, but a fun night.
On Thursday night, Cora's school had its Back to School Night. We found her artwork on the wall of art class. It was great meeting her teachers and getting a taste of her daily life - we spent 10 minutes in each class, and then had five minutes to move on to the next class.
More great Cora news - at her karate class on Saturday, Cora was invited to test for her yellow belt! She's loving karate, takes it seriously and it was gratifying to see her get this invitation so quickly.
