Sleepover

Ave stayed over Friday night, after we all played at the pool together and then had dinner together. The next morning, this was the sight on the trundle bed.
Then, it was time for tea and breakfast for the girls' pillow pets.

It was cute watching Ave play with Cora and Violet with her animal; she's getting so big, she and Cora are more likely to paint nails and have dance parties together than play dolls.

But this time, she had just as much fun playing with toys and animals as Cora and Violet.
We kept Ave with us for lunch and errands, which helped Cora get through several stores without complaining.
On Monday, we had Genia and the boys over for lunch, and Owen and Violet had fun with some shaving cream.

Those following the blog closely have probably picked up on the fact that we've been spending a lot of time with the Roberts lately.

Sadly (for us), that's because our time together as neighbors is nearing its end. They'll be moving off our street and out of the area at the end of June, to John's home state of Montana for a new life in academia. We've known for a while, so we've had some time to get used to the idea, but now that it's coming closer we're trying to soak up as much time with them as possible.
