Wakefield Wonders

On Saturday evening, JT, Jim and the children came up for a visit. Dinner and chatting were a nice break for Stace, who worked on putting together the front yard irrigation system all day.

JT was eager to show Jim, Callie and Jonah the yuletide wonders of Wakefield Court. Since it was a Saturday evening, we joined with hundreds (thousands?) of others in walking the gorgeously decorated double cul-de-sac.

Every other home seemed to be hosting a party out front, with bon fires, live music and even St. Nick himself.

(Jonah, at the tender age of 2, was a little nervous about joining the girls at Santa's knee. And Cora, who has learned the truth about Father Christmas, has been a good sport about keeping up appearance for her friends who still believe.)

Really, I've been to Wakefield countless times over the last decade (or more?), and I look forward to it every year. It's always a great way to get into the spirit of the magic of Christmas.
Thanks to JT for all these photos!
