Playdates and Parties

Cora's class held a Christmas party on Friday, and what a fun time we had. Our room moms are amazing, and planned such fun activities for the kids.
Their treat was decorating the cones like Christmas trees, and then filling them with ice cream.

They also had a game station, a craft, a healthy snack and face-painting.
After the party, Dr. Porter read to the students, as she does every school day. It's one of Cora's favorite parts of  being in her class.
Over the weekend, the girls spent hours playing with the Calico Critters. They played together beautifully for hours, which was such a nice change from sisterly bickering.
We also recently had a playdate with Patrice, Emily, Charlie and Tommy. We love our Friday lunchtimes; getting out of school so early is ideal for playdates!

While the children played for hours with toys, we did let them have a little Minecraft/tablet time. Emily also plays Minecraft, so she and Cora had fun building together.
And, we've also had little girl playdates with Liana, two Thursdays in a row. This week, we went to her house, and while the girls played, Colleen was kind enough to hem a couple of pairs of new trousers.
