Woman's work, in the garage

Cora's third Valentine's Day. Wow, doesn't that make her sound old?
Anyway, our Stroller Strides party was an intimate affair, so we moved to Starbucks. Cora had fun making her Valentine's Day bag and eating her cupcake. She then had a great time playing with our umbrella outside. We're getting another rainstorm this weekend...

Also, it's time to show off my "Mom's Work Station" part of the garage. Our new washer and dryer were installed two weeks ago, and so far I'm loving them! We ordered frontloaders from Sears during their excellent Black Friday sale (the big sales that take place the day after Thanksgiving, the official start of the Christmas shopping season); the deal was so fantastic, Sears got back-ordered two months! Many thanks to my mom for doing most of our washing during the interim; she even washed her granddaughter's diapers.
During the week, we picked up our new 7.2 cubic-foot freezer, also a Kenmore from Sears. Woohoo! I can really stock up during sales now, and get ahead on baking and meal preparation! I'm such a nerd to be excited about this stuff.
And, on the other side of the washer/dryer is my big storage cabinet, where I'm storing food and other stuff that I get great deals on. I really love having a garage!

Yay for the new washer and dryer!! So I'm wondering.... with all these great things going on in your new garage, do you plan to store cars in there at all? :) Sophia

Love the washer and dryer. Wow, to have a huge tumble dryer = happiness. But you know who else has a big freezer in their garage? _My grandma_. ;-)

Soph - so far we can put mine in easily. Very soon we hope to be able to put both in - AND be able to get in both doors, and get Cora in and out of the car seat. :)

JT - No problem. I fully acknowledge I'm older than my years. Decades older. Still, I bet your grandma doesn't have cool tin baseball pictures above hers.
