This year's big news was that Lance Armstrong was competing, in his first competition in a long while. So, Lisa, Cora and I set off to the mall to see if we could get a glimpse of him before the start of the race.
It's not very often that you get the chance to see a living legend. How many people can say they won the Tour de France seven times, and walked on the moon? That's pretty impressive in my book.
Anyway, we didn't get to see Mr. Armstrong because we left the starting line event in order to get a position a few miles down the road so we could see all the riders go by at full speed.
Yet again, I must say, how well this city we live in organises and executes these events. I'm sure if this was back home, they'd figure out some way for you to pay.
