Week in Review

 It's been fun watching Melanie (and Nick) transform their new apartment into a beautiful home.

On Wednesday, I went to help Mel with a few odds and ends, including putting this bookshelf together for Ellie's room.

Speaking of Ellie - she came over on Thursday for a few hours. She's very easy to have over these days - she loves coloring and making paper dolls, and will entertain herself. 

Also, Uncle Stace showed her how to play Bananagrams for real. She's played with the letter tiles for a few years, but now can read well enough to play it properly.

On Friday, after meeting with Violet's teacher, we went to Quigley for a short nature walk. She loves visiting the cows. Also on Friday, I returned Seb to the vet for a blood pressure check, and his numbers are better, so we'll continue on the current medication dosage.

On Saturday, Cora went to a birthday party for her elementary school friend, while Violet rode her bike to get tea. Stace went to work in the morning, and in the evening, we went to Ellie's school. She was performing in a celebration of music, which she'd been rehearsing for for months. She's on the drums here!

And, in weird cat news, this is Evie's attempt to carefully protect her food bowl. Don't need predators finding them by sniffing out their food!

She's covered the bowl with Violet's clothing and an organza drawstring bag. Good job, Eve!
