My family had the sad duty of saying good-bye to our old friend Luke this week. He was 13 and diagnosed with cancer late last year. Luke joined our family as a puppy, when I was 16. He was a sweet-natured boy who loved to lick, steal food and put his head on your lap. He was wonderfully gentle with Cora, seen here with him over the summer.
