Our Percy

Cora has been a fan of the Percy Jackson book series for years, rereading them many times. She was thrilled when Jarod decided The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical would be the spring offering, and honored to get the lead role of Percy himself.
She cut her hair a bit shorter to better hide it under a wig. At top, she's singing about how it's hard to be a "half-blood," half human, half Greek god.
At right, she's with her human mother, as the adventure gets going and Percy learns about his true identity.
Now at Camp Half Blood, a summer camp for demigods, he finds himself playing a potentially deadly game of Capture the Flag, facing off against the daughter of Ares, god of war.
The kids bond over a campfire and sing about their parents.

Percy is here with Grover, his best friend and satyr. He didn't know it growing up, but Grover was there to protect him from furies and monsters before Percy knew his true parentage.
Percy breaks down while singing about his mom, presumed dead, after getting sent away from Camp Half Blood.
Percy meets the Oracle, who tells him about things to come. This was a very cool scene, one of many Jarod and Zac put together with awesome lighting.
Percy, Grover and new friend Annabeth are on a cross-country adventure to try to save the world, and meet a chimera.
The kids are on a long bus ride, and sing Drive, a really fun song.
Lucas played a great role, Mr. D., but later popped out as a biker to ride the cart off stage.
While in the Underworld, the kids come across lots of those who have died, including these members of the Vienna Boys Choir
Cora realizes the guy who rode by on a surfboard and gave her a seashell is her father, Poseidon.
She sings a song about being the Son of Poseidon, below.

Oh no! The boy who made out he was Percy's friend is trying to kill him!
But Annabeth saves him with a potion, and Percy and the whole cast sing, "Bring on the Monsters!"

Cora and her castmates were brilliant, and it was a very enjoyable show to watch. They had great crowds, too, with over 550 people coming to see it, by far the best attended show in years at her school.
