Tidbits

Violet helped Stace pick our oranges and tangerines. The oranges, in particular, were delicious. And now, the blossoms smell amazing for our next crop!
Our evenings watching The Chosen have been lovely - Violet often sits with me, and on this particular evening, I had Vi AND Seb on my lap.
April Fool's Day arrived without much fanfare; our whole lives feel a bit like a big April Fool's joke anyway. But Violet video-chatted with Liana about pranks, and then got Stace good with the old plastic-wrap-on-the-toilet routine.
With many hiking trails closed, the girls and I explored one of our city's open spaces this week, as city parks and trails remain open.

We went to Quigley Canyon, and had a good time among the oaks and the wildflowers. This log bridge was particularly enchanting.

We found a heart made of big rocks on the hill - sadly, it's hard to make out in the photo, but in person it was very clear to see.
 We found California poppies!
Violet made caramel apples, using a kit I've had in the pantry for a while.
 Seb just loves laps!
And, my, he looks huge here!
Cora used a frozen pie crust and frozen berry blend to whip up a very yummy pie!
