End of Terrific Tots

Cora had her final Terrific Tots class this Thursday, marking the first of many such bittersweet growing-up occasions we'll encounter.

As it's a co-op preschoo program, I planned my working day to coincide with Cora's last class. It was nice to be there to take it all in.

Cora and her buddy Matthew were joint line-leaders as they went back to class after playground time. We'll miss some of her little friends, and seeing their moms twice a week.

Since we are leaving class a week early because we're off to England Friday, Miss Diane made several mentions of it being Cora's last day.

She got her certificate and posed with Miss Diane and Miss Linda, with her thank-you gifts and the pictures she painted for them.

We'll see Miss Diane again this summer, as we signed Cora up for a city-run camp for 3- and 4-year-olds. It will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 to 12:30, for four weeks.

Then, in August, Cora will start at a new preschool, in a three-day-a-week pre-K program. That will be an exciting step for all of us!
