We took a little family trip this weekend, spending the night in a hotel near Disneyland on Sunday so we could enjoy a full day at California Adventure on Monday. Stace has been working a lot of extra hours lately, so it was great to spend some "quality" time together. I bought some cheaper tickets from a friend who couldn't use them, and we wanted to go before Cora turns 3 (and needs a ticket of her own).
Cora napped on our drive down on Sunday, and had a lot of fun checking out our hotel (in Coraspeak, "ho-tale") before we went to the Block at Orange shopping center. The Children's Place was having a great clearance, and we bought some cute matching outfits for our girls to wear next winter. I must admit, that was a lot of fun! I can't wait to see them together.

We started our Monday at Krispy Kreme, so Cora could have her first such experience, and I could get a coffee. After the night we had - I'm fighting a bad cold that's keeping me up a lot - I really needed the caffeine. We then stopped at Target for more cold medicine for me, so we didn't get into California Adventure until 11ish.

Oh well, that gave Cora the chance to nap (!!???!!) in the car and even in her stroller. Must have been the post-doughnut crash; she never naps that early anymore!

Our first stop once inside the park was visiting Lightning McQueen, who is still one of Cora's closest friends these days. Then on to the Redwood Forest playground where Cora and Stace ran around and I watched.
I also watched Cora and Stace go on a couple of little roller coasters and the merry-go-round.

We watched several shows - A Bug's Life, Muppets 3-D, and the Playhouse Disney live stage show (where Cora did some group stretching).

Cora was very happy to meet Donald Duck.

And to wrap up the day, we watched the parade, which featured Lightning and Tow Mater from Cars. Cora loved that part! It was a great day, and Cora was a very good girl.
