Halloween Fun

Here's a collection of shots from our Halloween happenings...

Cora finally gave in and helped scoop out the yucky seeds - I remember that last year she didn't like touching the goopy insides, either. She did like eating the toasted, seasoned seeds on Sunday though!

Here is Somer wishing you all an UNhappy Halloween. The costume, our second attempt in four years, lasted about 90 seconds.

Cora was very proud of the work Daddy did on our two larger pumpkins.

And, we were so proud of all the seasonal artwork she made at her classes, we decided to decorate the door with them. (For you in England, the bottom item is supposed to be a piece of "candy corn," which is super popular this time of year here.)

The rest of the photos are from Halloween evening.

We went around two blocks of our neighborhood with our friends and neighbors, Ave, Johnny and Owen, and their parents, Genia and John.

The two two-year-olds got the hang of trick-or-treating quickly, though none of the kids were excited to go up to the houses that were decorated with really scary things.

It was a first time for Stace and me to trick-or-treat, and to pass out candy. Our condo's setup was such that you couldn't tell if your neighbors were home, and there were a lot of stairs, so any kids living there would go out into the neighborhood of houses.

We feel so blessed to have a home in our neighborhood! It was great to meet more of our neighbors, and everyone is so nice and friendly.

We seemed to have been out trick-or-treating at the same exact time everyone else was out - meaning, not that many groups of kids came by our house after we got back. So, we ended up with a lot more candy than we needed, something Stace is very happy about.

Cora was very friendly to those who did come by, and was happy to pass out candy to the children and to their waiting parents.

I love how the pumpkin on the left is looking at the one on the right...hilarious! Looks like you're going to have to sneak that bunny costume away while Cora's asleep! :)
